SHREK pinball, based on DreamWorks Animation’s highest-grossing animated movie franchise, has been officially licensed and designed by Pat Lawlor Design. The pinball machine features original and eye-catching art by John Youssi, a newly elected Pinball Hall of Fame artist. The software and rules were designed by Lonnie Ropp and Mike Kyzivat, with Mark Galvez and Tom Kyzivat creating original dot matrix display art for the game.
The main attraction of the SHREK pinball machine is Donkey’s mini-playfield, a small pinball playfield located in the upper right-hand corner. Controlled by the regular flipper buttons, this mini-playfield has ramps and targets for players to shoot at while a spinning Donkey figurine adds to the excitement.
Additional features on the game include figurines of five SHREK characters: Shrek, Donkey, Puss in Boots, Princess Fiona, and Gingy. A mirror sculpture of Prince Charming is positioned in the center of the playfield and can be struck by the pinball. Two captive pinballs spell out P-I-N-B-A-L-L when hit, and SHREK also offers plenty of thrilling multi-ball action.
